Accepting New Clients: Panel currently full, evaluating biweekly

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Board Certified Counselor who has served clients in the outpatient setting since 2005. I graduated with a BA in Psychology from PennState Erie, The Behrend College in 1997, and later earned my MS in Community Counseling from Gannon University in 2003. I am experienced and passionate about treating PTSD in adults, and I am an Approved Provider of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), listed on the international roster at cptforptsd.com.

My approach is structured, evidence-based, and grounded in collaboration. I work with clients to identify the unseen patterns that have quietly influenced- and often complicated- their path through life. They walk their own trail, and I serve as the lantern they carry, bringing light to what was long overlooked, while the protocol functions as the compass guiding their next steps.

CPT is a weekly delivered protocol consisting of 12 sessions, with each session intentionally structured to support healing. Two additional sessions can be added for each additional unhealed trauma a client needs to process. Because CPT is evidence-based, I can confidently say it's hard work- and it does work.

I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as my core therapeutic modality for the other clinical concerns I treat, including grief and loss, depression, adjustment disorders, and mooddisorders. CBT helps clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and actions relate to one another. As clients begin using CBT strategies and skills in their daily lives, they often find themselves living with greater intention- making choices that support a healthier, more grounded way of being.

My style is warm, empowering, and intentional. I follow the client's lead while offering thoughtful, honest, and logic-based recommendations about what may help them move forward. I know that my goals for treatment may not always match where a client is emotionally, and I fully honor that readiness shapes the pace. Clients lead the way; I help themnavigate it.
